Scott Walker's Budget Bill

Governor Walker’s Budget Proposal contains many provisions that affect a wide range of services and conditions in our state. The claim that the budget asks for shared sacrifices is best refuted by looking at the actual content of the bill.

This site is intended to serve as a clearinghouse for documented information on provisions of every kind contained in the budget bill in order to help the general public by having the summaries collected in one place. To add information, you must first be approved by the site administrators; to be approved you must provide evidence of your expertise in the field or of the documentation you will use to add content. The administrators reserve the ability to edit and arrange content. The impact of the bill on Wisconsin residents is continually coming to light, and this "wiki" will be able to capture the factual information as it emerges.

There is a large and growing body of information available on various details of the budget and its probable impacts. For a useful and thorough analysis of the Budget Repair Bill, we have inserted a document directly from the Wisconsin Budget Project (LINK). Editors may add to this, but only as wiki content; please do not change the wording of the Wisconsin Budget Project document.

The site is organized in three levels. This page provides an overview of the various bills that make up Walker's attack. Each bill lists areas impacted by the bill and links to pages that outline the specific proposals in each given area. Each proposal in turn links to additional details and discussion of each proposal.

We invite you to read this and share with everyone you know. We welcome comments and suggestions from all readers - contact the site administrator (DAVID - please make clear how to do this).
